Almost Done with Berroco Baby Hat

I'm making a hat for the soon-to-be-born baby of one of my pastors. I bought the yarn on ebay, because it was a good price, and I had already used one of the yarns in another pattern (the trim on a felted purse; yes I knitted the fuzzy yarn on as trim BEFORE I felted it).

I'm only making the hat, not the mittens, because the baby is coming in mid-February and the hat is turning out to be about a six month size so........I have no idea if and when the baby will use it! My luck, I'll make the mittens and they will fit the baby in the middle of summer!

Well, I'm off to sew the ears on!

Work and Blessings

Lots of new paper to list and lots of knitting and card samples I'd rather do. If I could make my work as fun as my play, what a happy girl I'd be.
I had an awesome encounter this morning with a "little old man" at Walmart. I had seen him walking the aisles and had even said excuse me to him once. He smiled and looked happy that someone had talked to him. I caught him asking someone where a certain product was, but alas, he had asked the Frito Lay guy, not a Walmart employee, so the guy was clueless. Fortunately, I knew exactly where the product was, and offered to lead him to it. He was very happy, and followed me two aisles over to where it was. He then thanked me, kissed me on the lips and said "I don't know you...." and I said, "but maybe we're brother and sister in Christ?". He smiled and said "you better believe it!". He just made my day.
I hope as I go through my day, and I get bogged down in "work", that I remember things like this that God has sent my way to bless me!
